August 10th was the final Katydid Cones schooling day of the summer.
A dozen or so drivers of varying turnouts came out to drive the course, which seemed to be suited to both experienced and less experienced drivers and horses.
Katydid Driving holds schooling days throughout the summer, and even though Aiken is much quieter in the summer, they continue to be well attended by year round residents.
Now drivers are preparing for the fall season, Aiken has many options to choose from.. Including Katydid’s Traditional Day of Driving (rescheduled from the spring due to the ice storm), the Aiken Driving Club Fall driving weekend and the Katydid CDE.
There is also the pleasure show in Tryon, Pine Tree CDE in Southern Pines, as well as CDEs in PA and KY for those willing to travel further afield.
